Welcome to Demopolis High School

Demopolis High School's academic program, extracurricular activities, and community involvement have established a school with a great reputation throughout the state of Alabama. We are proud of the efforts and accomplishments of our students, parents, teachers, administrators, staff and community leaders. A high quality education is one of the most important things that we can provide a child. Exposure to a variety of topics, people, and activities contributes to a fulfilling school experience. This website is a terrific way to access information you need about our school, as well as serving as an educational resource. Whether you are currently enrolled or just curious about what we have to offer, you will find a wealth of information.

Exemption Policy 2014-2015 School Year

  • Students can exempt their 1st and 2nd semester exams using their grades and attendance.
  • Mandatory exams are given in AP courses and End of Course Assessments.  Students will not be able to exempt these exams.
  • Each semester credit will stand on its own.  No longer will 2nd semester grades be able to pull up 1st semester grades.  If a student fails 1st semester, they will lose that half credit.  Students that qualify for credit recovery will be able to make-up failed credit.
