For the third year in a row, the Demopolis City School System has a school selected as a school of distinction by the Council of Leaders in Alabama Schools. This year, Demopolis High has been selected because of their Integrated Marketing and Broadcasting Program.

Alabama 4-H is planning a series of events for students ages 9-18 at Foscue Park in Demopolis. This is a great opportunity to learn more about outdoors and what the Demopolis area has to offer our youth.

The ALSDE recently released a parent guide in reference to the COVID-19
Due to COVID-19 and Governor Ivey's "Stay at Home" order, we are not able to host a public hearing on the revision to Policy 7.20 (Accounting and Reporting).
The Demopolis City School System’s Gifted Education Program recently received a $28,000.00 grant from the Alabama State Department of Education. The grant application was written by gifted teacher, Dana Hill, and will support place-based education in Demopolis and the surrounding areas.
The leaders and administration of the Demopolis City School System are operating under the guidance of the Alabama State Department of Education and the Alabama Department of Public Health in regards to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Demopolis City Board of Education recently celebrated each school's teacher of the year. These four teachers do an amazing job supporting their students, co-workers and schools.
