The Demopolis City School System believes that regular attendance is important to students.  Regular attendance by students facilitates development of skills and knowledge necessary to function in today’s society (This includes students checking in and out of school).  Therefore, the school endeavors to secure, in compliance with Alabama law, the prompt and regular attendance of students and to secure proper conduct, and to hold respective parents/guardians/custodians responsible and liable for their children’s non-attendance or improper conduct.
