About Us

Welcome to the Demopolis City School System. We strive to provide a program with many levels of advancement that prepares our students to successfully enter any field upon graduation. It is important to assist each student with identifying their individual talents within a specific aspect of school by providing a very broad range of programs. It is our intent to allow every student ample opportunity to discover their niche in life from our diverse course offerings and many activities.

Our district is comprised of four schools, each specializing in a unique curriculum, formulated for the grade levels which reside at their respective locations. These schools include: Westside Elementary; grades K-2, U.S. Jones Elementary; grades 3-5, Demopolis Middle School; grades 6-8, and Demopolis High School; grades 9-12. Also, the Demopolis Board of Education is centrally located for easy access from any of our four schools.

We take great pride in educating our population of over 2,300 students with the highest level of academic excellence. This excellence comes from our highly qualified and dedicated faculty and staff who strive daily to build relationships, continue in their educational expertise, and promote themselves as active role models in our school system and the community.  It is our desire that each student succeed in our school system, and surpass all expectations of their family, friends, and co-workers in their future endeavors.
