As a parent, you want the best for your child, and part of that means ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their chosen career. One great way to achieve this goal is by exploring career technical education (CTE) programs. CTE programs offer students hands-on training in a variety of fields, from healthcare to welding and can lead to high-paying, in-demand jobs.
If you're interested in learning more about the CTE programs DHS offers come to Parent Pathway Planning on May 8th, from 3:30-5:30 to see the differenct CT programs we offer and to get your questions answered! See you then!

Students and teachers from Demopolis High attended the SKills USA Leadership Conference in Mobile from April 24-26th.
During the conference, students participated in skill competitions, and networking opportunities with industry leaders. They also heard from keynote speakers and had the chance to explore career pathways in various industries.
"It was an amazing experience to see our students showcase their skills and leadership abilities at the conference," said Demopolis High Skills USA Advisor, Mr. Vann. "They represented our school and community with pride and distinction, and we are extremely proud of them.”
Overall, the conference was a great opportunity for students and teachers to connect with peers from other schools, learn new skills, and explore career opportunities. The Demopolis High Skills USA chapter is looking forward to participating in similar events in the future.
