Literacy and STEAM Night is tomorrow, Thursday, March 9 from 4:30-5:30pm. The Book fair will be open at 4:00 pm if you'd like to shop before reporting to the gym at 4:30!

Teachers attended PLC meetings during their planning time today. They looked at data to help them plan for the next few weeks leading up to the ACAP testing!



Our Peer Helpers met today to discuss struggles and signs of struggles that students may be dealing with so that they can better help their peers!

Students can shop Monday-Thursday! The bookfair will also be open before and after STEAM Night on Thursday!

When checking out, you will be given the option to put in school name, child’s name, and homeroom teacher. Orders can be shipped to the persons home or the school. Shipping is free if it is shipped to the school!
Along with our math coach and AMSTI specialist, several 3rd grade classes learned how to measure Swedish Fish to the nearest quarter inch using rulers they made! #amsti4all

Ms. Pope's class presented their Black History Month projects today! Great job guys!




Students in Ms.Hughes' gifted class have been participating in the Stock Market Game. An online simulation of the global capital markets that engages students grades 4-12 in the world of economics, investing and personal finance. One team from her class, Emilee Lewis and Abbie Williams, are currently ranked 1st place in the state .

We will celebrate Read Across America Week next week! Several activities have been planned! Green Eggs and Ham will be served for Breakfast on Thursday! Students can also dress up or wear a hat on Thursday!

Our students did a wonderful job presenting and singing at our Black History Month Program. Our program focused on African American innovators!




Thanks to the Two Rivers Arts Council and the Marengo Historical Society for sponsoring this lesson on Bill Traylor.


The USJ beta club is representing USJ well at the state BETA convention in Montgomery. We already have winners in several competitions and others are competing now!
