The renovation project at DHS is progressing on schedule. When school opens in August there will be a secured access front entrance and completely remodeled bathrooms in the main building and gym. Thank you to the DCS board for their continued support and vision for improvement.

Exciting news from Mrs. Gandy's computer science classroom! Her students recently participated in a thrilling competition hosted by QuantHub. QuantHub is an online platform that offers data science and analytics challenges to students, providing them with an opportunity to apply their coding and analytical skills in real-world scenarios.
During the competition, students were given a series of challenging data science problems to solve. They had to demonstrate their knowledge of programming, data manipulation, and analysis to come up with innovative solutions. The competition awarded a $25 Visa gift card to each student.
The competition provided an invaluable opportunity for them to gain hands-on experience, boost their confidence, and showcase their abilities in the field of data science.
Evelyn Perendy received her Data Detective badge and has recently been offered a summer internship with a reputable tech company.
Congratulations to Kelvin Rowser! He will further his academic and athletic career at University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He received an athletic scholarship to play football. We are so proud of Kelvin!

Demopolis High School has an incredible success story to share today! Meet Shelby Baldwin, a remarkable high school senior who has completed a monumental feat: She graduated from Wallace Community College with not just one, but two associate degrees before even receiving her high school diploma! Shelby graduated from WCCS on May 12, 2023, with an Associate in Arts and an Associate in Science degree. She will graduate from DHS on May 19. Congratulations Shelby! We are proud of you!

Tiger Fans: Ticketholders should receive an email from GoFan with a new ticket for today's contest. You will be able to access the ticket in the same manner as your other tickets. We are very sorry for any confusion.
Head to Tiger Stadium today for a 1:00 pm matchup with Holtville in the AHSAA State Semi-Finals! Show your ticket from yesterday for entry!
Fans who purchased a ticket to yesterday's doubleheader should show their ticket to enter the gates for today's game. However, per AHSAA, should a third game be necessary, the stadium must be cleared and fans will need to purchase a ticket through GoFan for the third game.
