Emery Wideman has been recognized as the Region 3 Bryant-Jordan Scholar-Athlete! This prestigious honor celebrates both academic excellence and athletic achievement. Congratulations, Emery!


Heads up! Demopolis City Schools will have a Data Day this Friday, April 18. Students will not report to any campuses on this day.


Last Thursday, JROTC cadets participated in the challenge at Camp Horne. They won 1st place in Tug-of-War and 2nd place in Orienteering! Congratulations!

Demopolis High School Seniors participated in "Adulting Day" Thursday at the Demopolis Civic Center. Students attended sessions on topics from etiquette, legal and financial prep, interview and dress success, new hire paperwork, as well as self-defense and CPR training. Thank you to all of our wonderful presenters: SouthFresh Feeds (Rhonda Haynes and Jimmy Hughes), Robertson Banking Co (Allen Bishop and Stacey Ashe), Southern Care Hospice (Patricia Gaddy and Jessie Mays), Joy Collins, Officer Walter Morgan, Officer Cle Barlow, Luke Tucker, Larkin and Scott Funeral Homes (John Scott) and Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce (Monica King).Ā You ALL made a hugeĀ difference in the lives of our seniors, and I can't thank you enough. Another thank you to SouthFresh Feeds for providing catfish for a delicious meal.Ā








This Wednesday, the history department went on a field trip to tour the USS Alabama battleship, toured the submarine, USS Drum , experienced an airplane simulator, and enjoyed a tasty lunch at Baumhowers. Students had a great time connecting instruction to real life!











Througout the month of April, DHS students are learning about autism awareness. Today, students had the opportunity to celebrate and support the autism awareness campaign!



Congratulations to the first female at Demopolis High School and all of the other Juniors and Seniors who completed their skid-steer certification with Skills For Success through Wallace State Community College!



DHS River City Blue band members had an amazing time as they participated in an OrlandoFest workshop in Orlando, FL last week. They met with two clinicians and worked on different musical concepts on music that they prepared for the workshop and their previous Music Performance Assessment. Once their workshop concluded, they experienced Universal Studios.

Alabama Power Foundation presented a donation to Demopolis High School Baseball, Basketball, and Football at Thursday nights win over Montevallo! Thank you for your support of DHS Athletics!

This past Tuesday, the Class of 2025 YouthLead students celebrated their final session and graduation luncheon at Rooster Hall. We are proud to recognize the 25 students who completed this incredible leadership journey! It was inspiring to hear each graduate share what they appreciated most about their experience.
Parents of upcoming juniors and seniorsādonāt miss this opportunity! Applications for the Class of 2026 are now available. Hard copies can be picked up from Mrs. Gandy in Room C1, and this year, we are also offering an electronic application, which will be shared via the Tiger Ambush.
