Students are to report to the auditorium Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during your dual enrollment period.

DHS will operate on 7 period days each day this week.

ATTENTION DUAL ENROLLMENT STUDENTS:
Off Campus Dual Enrollment Policy for Students
1. You must return a permission form signed by your parents in order to leave campus.
2. If you have 3 unexcused tardies returning to a DHS class or miss DHS classes without a written excuse (see DCS Attendance Manual: students are allowed five (5) parent excuses per school year), you will be required to return to DHS campus all day for the remainder of the semester.
3. If you are FAILING a dual enrollment course or FALLING BEHIND in a dual enrollment course, you will be required to return to DHS campus all day.
We have dual enrollment classes here on campus for all 7 periods, so placing students in a classroom during the day is not a problem.

DHS seniors enjoyed a trip to Calera, Alabama, where they were able to tour the Alabama Power Training Center; the students learned about a variety of jobs, benefits offered, and the importance of safety.

DHS would like to thank Smurfit WestRock for hosting an exciting industry tour for our 10th, 11th, & 12th graders. The students learned about job opportunities as well as benefits, visited the plant, learned about safety, and enjoyed delicious pizza.

HOSA hosted a successful blood drive yesterday at DHS, and we couldn’t be prouder. Our students showed incredible hard work, leadership, and compassion throughout the entire event.
Thank you to all who were "LEGENDARY" donors and supported the drive—your generosity helps save lives.
