From pajama day to spirit day, our students brought the energy all week long! Homecoming dress-up days are one of our favorite traditions, and this year did not disappoint.

Seniors, Jostens will be on campus Tuesday morning at 9:30 am to discuss graduation items including cap and gown.

Right after the parade, head to the DMS practice field for our Pep Rally/Bonfire, where we’ll pump up the spirit and get ready to cheer our Tigers on to victory! 💙🤍

For the remainder of the season, only clear bags will be permitted in DHS stadium. This goes into effect this Friday night.

DHS Tennis will have tryouts October 16 at 3:00pm at the DHS tennis courts. You must have a current physical, concussion , and participation form on file to participate.

Senior Baby pictures to be included in the yearbook are due to Mrs. Kerby by October 9 at 3:00 pm. Digital copies may be emailed to ckerby@dcsedu.com Please make sure you include your name in the title of the email.

DHS is partnering with the DPD to put on a Sanctioned Version of Junior/Senior Wars that will take place on campus Tuesday, Sept. 23rd 5-9. Students will be taking part in Paintball, Video Games, Basketball Shootout, as well as a campus wide scavenger hunt.

DHS is looking for convertibles or T-Tops to be included in the Homecoming parade next Thursday, September 25. Please reach out to Mrs. Hathcock if you'd be willing to drive yours in the parade!

Congratulations to the 2025 DHS Homecoming Court! These students need to see Mrs. Hathcock in room D-6 Friday to get your information.

The final run-off voting for Homecoming Court will be TOMORROW, September 11. 12th grade needs to check their senior remind. 11th, 10th, and 9th grades will vote during their math class on schoology. Voting will end at 3:00pm. Homecoming Court will be announced tomorrow evening!

Come and experience the "Romeo and Juliet Extravaganza!"

Audience members get in on the fun in this interactive version of Romeo and Juliet as they are randomly cast as Capulets or Montagues and are prompted by two feuding narrators to cheer for their respective families. The cast first performs an abridged micro version of the original story of the two star-crossed lovers. Then the mischievous narrators create their own Romeo and Juliet Extravaganza! by altering major plot points in the story with “What if?” questions. What if the Montagues and Capulets liked each other? What if Romeo never met Juliet? What ensues is a series of comic twists and turns, silly skirmishes and outlandish outcomes. And in the end, the audience gets to vote for either a happy or tragic ending.

Performances are Sept. 18 & 20 7:00pm and Sept. 21 @ 2:00pm

Health Heroes Flu Clinic is tomorrow, Sept. 4 at all four schools. The consent must be turned into their school nurse prior to the clinic. This is an optional clinic, and they can get their flu shot at their doctor or elsewhere if they so choose. Forms went home with students 8/27.

Come out and support volleyball tomorrow for their first home tournament!

Demopolis City Schools will be closed Monday, Sept 1 in observance of Labor Day. Tuesday, Sept. 2 will be a Professional Development Day for Faculty and Staff. Students will not report to school until Wednesday, Sept. 3. Have a wonderful extended weekend!
