Join us for an inspiring evening as our community comes together to celebrate Black History Month at Black History: Straight From Demopolis on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at U.S. Jones Elementary School.
This special program will highlight the rich history and cultural legacy of Demopolis through the voices and talents of our local students. Enjoy uplifting musical selections from the Tiger Tones, directed by Margie Jackson, and experience Demopolis history brought to life as students share stories from our community’s past. The evening will also showcase creative works from 4th grade students, made possible through the support of the Two Rivers Arts Council.
Co-sponsored by the Marengo County Historical Society, this event promises to be both educational and entertaining for all ages.
Come celebrate, learn, and honor the stories that shape our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

DCS Families, February is Career and Technical Education Month and DHS would like to invite you to the CTE Open House! Come see programs designed to prepare students for careers, certifications, and college pathways—beyond the traditional academic classroom. Families and students will tour labs, see hands-on learning in action, and meet CTE instructors who connect classroom learning to real careers.

Valentine's day parties will be held on Friday! If your student is responsible for bringing treats for the classroom party, please send them to school with the student in the morning or the day before.
