Ava Mosley is this week’s “leader of the week”. Ava is a first grade student in Mrs. Black’s class. She is respectful and loves to learn. Ava is also a great listener. We are proud of leaders like Ava at WES.

We are loving all of the lime green today showing support for MJ! If you would like to make a donation to MJ's family, please feel free to drop it off at our front office and we will make sure it gets to them.

Change of menu for Thursday. We will have turkey sandwiches instead of chicken sandwiches.

Second grade students went to U.S. Jones to meet Libby Liberty and learn what it means to be a citizen of the United States. Students also learned some U.S. history and will continue to learn more in their classrooms over the next several months through the Liberty Learning Foundation!

It was a busy day in Mrs. Stewart's room today! They graphed candy hearts and since they just wrapped up their knowledge 7 unit on the Earth, they enjoyed fun Earth activities.

Mrs. Malone’s class used snicker bars to demonstrate the 3 types of rock and how heat, pressure and time affect them.

Mrs.Reynolds’ class celebrated passing 200 iReady lessons today! They were treated to some delicious food from Batter Up!

A huge thank you goes to our awesome PTO and the many volunteers that came to WES today for duty free lunch! It is not often that teachers get to visit with coworkers during lunch and have a quiet lunch by themselves. We appreciate you helping to make this possible!

Pre-K classes participated in a family service project this week. Each Pre-K student was invited to create a valentine card with their family. These beautiful cards will be delivered to our local nursing homes. Our hope is that this small act of kindness will brighten someone’s day!❤️

Check backpacks tonight! You do not want to miss this special daddy/daughter event. Forms should come home today.
