Every First Grade student was asked to create a character pumpkin. The character was from a story they read. They also completed a report describing their character and the book. Many skills and standards were covered while completing this activity, not to mention an opportunity to demonstrate artistic skills and have fun with their families.

Today our staff wants to bring awareness to Dyslexia and emphasize our desire to provide our students with successful reading instruction in the following areas: Comprehension, Fluency, Vocabulary, Phonics and Phonemic Awareness.
