🍬 Candy Corn Fun in 2nd Grade! 🍬
Mrs. Thomasson’s class had a sweet time today learning with candy corn! We read about the history of candy corn, graphed different types, made fact families and word forms, and practiced greater than and less than. Learning is always better with a little candy corn fun! 🎃📚
At WES, we strive each day to follow our three core expectations: Respect yourself, respect others, and respect our school. Mrs. Little’s 1st grade class set a wonderful example of respecting our school by taking the time to clean up leaves in front of the back building. 🌿👏 Way to lead by example, Mrs. Little’s class! 🐾
🍬 Our Candy Monsters have been munching away on all the sweet treats sent in so far, but they’re still a little hungry and craving more candy! 😋💖

Ms. Bradford’s Pre-K class is learning all about pumpkins this week. Today, they did a fun activity and painted their own pumpkins 🎃🧡

🎉 1st Grade Celebrates the 50th Day of School! 🎉
Our first graders stepped way back in time to the fabulous 1950s! 🕺💃 Students dressed in classic fifties fashion and enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities — from making Coke floats 🥤 to air drag racing! 🚗💨 What a rockin’ way to celebrate 50 days of learning at WES! 🐾

Pre-K has been learning all about community helpers!
Today, we got to meet some of the amazing helpers right here in our own community! The children had the best time walking through an ambulance, meeting Smokey the Bear, and even getting to pet a police dog! They were in awe of the big fire trucks and all the flashing lights on the police cars.
A huge thank you to all of our community helpers who took time out of their busy day to visit with us, we truly appreciate everything you do!

Mrs. Cook’s Classroom Committee Helpers came today! They read spooky stories, sang a pumpkin song, made a fun craft, and shared a delicious spider-themed treat! 🎃
