Join us for an interest meeting for a Demopolis Fishing Team and a Clay Shooting Team! The meeting will be held at the DHS Auditorium on December 8 at 5:30 PM. This is for 7th-12th grade girls and boys. Parents and students should attend.
DCS is proud of our U.S. Jones math instructional coach, Stephanie Pittman, for presenting at the Alabama Council of Mathematics Teachers (ACMT) Conference this today! It’s exciting to see our educators leading and sharing best practices with math teachers from across the state. Our district has maintained an overall score of 88 on the state report card for the second year in a row! This consistency reflects the dedication of our students, staff, and community to academic excellence and continuous growth.

DCS is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our school community as the Athletics and Facilities Director. This key leadership role is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all aspects of the district's grades 7–12 athletic and band programs and district-wide director of facilities/maintenance. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage multiple operational areas while fostering a positive, safe, and productive environment for students and staff. Demopolis City Schools will have an E-Learning Day on Monday, November 10. Students will complete assignments from home and will not report to campus. Check your students' school's newsletter/social media/website for specific details.
On Tuesday, November 11, DCS will observe Veterans Day, and all campuses will be closed.
Students and faculty will return to school on Wednesday, November 12.

A medical emergency occurred at Demopolis High School this morning involving the health of a visitor on campus. No student was involved.
Thanks to the quick response of our Medical Emergency Response Team and Demopolis EMS (Amstar), the situation is under control and operations have returned to normal.
