Celebrate Black History Month With Us!


The Elite Lindenite Organization is proud to announce the winner of the Bobby Scruggs-Huggins Scholarship. The following students were chosen based on their academic performance and community involvement. Ryan Reynolds and Danya Jones (their picture is attached)
The DAR Good Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest recognizes and rewards high school seniors who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities.
This year the West Alabama Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution recognized Chandler Hutton as their Good Citizen of the Year. (picture attached)



DHS Varsity Boys Basketball won 52-44 today against Central of Clay County. This win will advance DHS to the Elite 8! Their next game will be Wednesday, February 21 @ 10:45am. Please check the Tiger Ambush Monday for more details.

Ms. Tartt's Technical Theatre students have been working with guest artist and scenic designer Joey Lay to create the set for the Tiger Arts Guild's performance of Cinderella, February 29-March 3rd. Tickets are available on GoFan.

Mrs. Boutwell, Mr. Holloway, and Mr. Duran's classes take a trip to tour the Alabama State Capitol and Alabama Supreme Court. They got an inside look at where government officials of the State of Alabama work to pass and interpret laws, and had a fun time looking at places that were instrumental in the shaping of Alabama.






Mrs. Pipkinsās Honors English 9 and AP Lang classes analyzed the evidence from a crime scene recreated from William Shakespeareās Romeo and Juliet. They had to investigate the scene, study the evidence, and write the police report utilizing a police incident report. This is a cross curricular activity which involves workplace documents, something they must know for ACT Workkeys.
