Please note this is only a DRILL.
There will be a noticeable presence of emergency personnel and vehicles during the training.

DHS Peer Helpers have been busy preparing for their first campaign, Respect Yourself, which kicked off today! There are signs posted, inspirational messages on bathroom mirrors, and a giveaway is included! #TheDemopolisDifference
The DHS theatre class is preparing for their upcoming performance with special guest artist, Joey Lay. Students are experimenting with stage makeup. The show will feature works from Edgar Allen Poe.
DCS will be closed Sept. 2nd in observance of Labor Day. September 3rd will be a Data Day for Faculty and no school for students. Students will return to school Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024.
Fabulous Fridays got off to a fabulous start! Fifty one Seniors received an ALL-ACCESS pass today for any DHS event! Students took the Pre-ACT last year and made five goals to reach when they took the ACT this year. Those who made a 28 or above or who reached three of their five goals received the pass. Way to go Seniors!
2024 Yearbook Spring Supplements have arrived!!! They will be sent home next week with current students. Last years graduates should stop by the front office to pick theirs up.

Don't forget students at all four schools receive free breakfast and lunches through the Community Eligibility Program under the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program! Children need healthy meals to learn. CEP gives food service professionals more time to focus on preparing nutritious meals that their students will enjoy and gives students more time to eat those meals by cutting down on time spent in the lunch line. More importantly, by offering all students a nutritious breakfast and lunch at no cost, CEP helps ensure more students come to class well-nourished and ready to learn.
Demopolis City Schools offers healthy meals every school day, so please encourage students to participate.
If you have not picked up your schedule, please pick it up tomorrow, August 7th, in the front office from 8-12 and 1-3.
All Co-Op students must report to Mrs. Kerby during their co-op period on Thursday to turn in required paperwork.
