Thanks to Mrs. Helms' Alabama Power Foundation Grant the 5th grade classroom garden is starting to come together.

A few weeks ago we posted pictures from the Liberty Learning kickoff pep rally. Since then, our fifth graders have been learning about citizenship and how to become a super citizen themselves! Today, along with 2nd grade ,each class honored a community member that they believe is a super citizen! They chose to honor Katie Windham, Jay Reynolds, Melanie McCrory, Officer Dailey, Nurse Freeman, Mrs. Edwards, and Mrs. Fleming. Thank you for all you do for our school and community! Thank you to the sponsors who made this program happen!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! For our final day, we would like to highlight some super important faculty and staff members who support students AND teachers!

Happy Teacher Appreciation week! Today, the spotlight is on our "Special classes" teachers. These teachers service every student on campus!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Today, we are showing off our amazing 5th grade teachers. Our 5th grade teachers teach 60-80 students per day. Students change classes/teachers several times throughout the day, keeping these teachers busy!

We welcomed the 2nd grade students from Westside today for their official tour of USJ! We can't wait to see their smiling faces next year! They went to a 3rd grade classroom, the office, the library, and the gym.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Our 4th grade teachers are in the spotlight today! When students get to 4th grade, they start changing classes! Teachers have one group in the morning and another group in the afternoon, which means these teachers educate around 40 students every day!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We will be highlighting our faculty all week! Today, we would like to give a special shout-out to our 3rd grade teachers! These teachers are awesome!!

Today is School Lunch Hero day! We are so thankful for our cafeteria workers, Mrs. Edwards, Ms. Jones, and Mr. Alston, who keep us well fed with breakfast and lunch! We are also thankful for those who step in to help when the cafeteria is short staffed !

Mrs. Wideman and her father, Dr. Green, DMD came in to do a science experiment with eggs to demonstrate tooth decay. My class really enjoyed this experiment. Thanks Mrs. Wideman and Dr. Green, DMD!
