🎀 Our Pre-K students are tickled pink for Pink Day!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Donald for everything he does to keep WES shining bright!

🐾 This week, Mrs. Meadows and Mrs. Brown’s Pre-K class has been learning all about pets!
We discovered that some animals are adopted from shelters, so our class decided to host a Puppy Adoption Day. 🐶
Each child hand-picked their very own puppy and gave it a special name. Today, they’ll be bringing their new furry friend home to love and care for!

Tomorrow is Spirit Picture Day! 📸🐯
Strike a pose with the DHS Tiger mascot and show off your Tiger pride! Don’t forget to bring your completed picture form and $5 so you don’t miss out on this fun keepsake opportunity.

🌟 “Three cheers for our Leaders of the Week—hip, hip, hooray!”

Mrs. Cook’s kindergarten class explored the “core” of AB and ABC patterns today using Connecting Cubes. The students loved creating their own patterns—it was a big hit!

Students who have met their AR goals are sharing their love of reading by helping their friends in Ms. Gandy’s class.

Kindergarten has been busy exploring all things apples and Johnny Appleseed this week! 🍎 From apple tastings and graphing to fun apple stations and even making “apple pie in a cup,” our little learners have had a sweet time learning.

Mrs. Garcia’s class practiced number recognition today! Uno cards are a simple way to practice math at home!

A great BIG THANK YOU to Jason Windham and Batter Up for partnering with Mrs. Thomasson’s class for her Fry Word Celebration. This is the 6th year Mr. Windham has helped WES students celebrate knowing their first 100 sight words. We are so proud of these students!!

Miss Bradford’s Pre-K class has had a fun-filled week with their Apple unit! They have enjoyed Apple themed small groups, centers, and dramatic play activities. They loved the taste test to determine their favorite type of Apple! 🍏🍎

Today Mrs. Black's class made apple pie in a cup to celebrate Johnny Appleseed! 🍎 🍏

Country met Country Club for today’s Homecoming dress-up theme—our kids sure know how to show their spirit!

From boots to polos, our students rocked Country vs. Country Club for Homecoming! We love their school spirit!

A big cheer for this week’s Leaders!

September has flown by! Time really does fly when our students are learning and having fun. October is just around the corner, and we’re excited for everything it will bring. Please see the attached flyer for a list of upcoming events and important dates.

It’s Homecoming , Tigers! Join us as we celebrate with our Homecoming Parade this evening through downtown Demopolis. Come cheer on our students, athletes, band, and floats as we show our Tiger Pride! 🏈🎶🎨
Right after the parade, head to the DMS practice field for our Pep Rally/Bonfire, where we’ll pump up the spirit and get ready to cheer our Tigers on to victory! 💙🤍
