We cannot wait to meet our new kindergarteners tomorrow! Please bring your child and all needed documents to registration. Parents also need to bring a valid photo ID. Parking is very limited in the school parking lot, so please feel free to utilize our new driveway and parking at our new multi-purpose gym.
Art teacher, Mrs. Becky Holley, challenged 2nd grade students to enter a poster contest sponsored by the Marengo County Soil & Water Conservation District. Posters were to focus on the 2023 Stewardship theme "One Water". Pictured are students that chose to participate in the contest. We wish them the best of luck and are so proud of their entries.
We had some special visitors today in some 1st and 2nd grade math classes! Amy Tilford from the Alabama State Department Office of Math Improvement and AMSTI Math Specialist Meg Byrd enjoyed observing and participating in activities highlighting measurement and polygons. WES Math Coach, Nicole Larkin, USJ Math Coach, Stephanie Pittman, and Mr. Hester also joined our special visitors.

These 2nd grade students in Ms. Foy’s class have mastered fact fluency in Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division! CONGRATULATIONS!
Kindergarten classes had some special visitors today! Several 7th graders came to read to students as part of their Civics Project.

This week’s “leader of the week” is Toni Daley. She is a 1st grade student in Mrs. Stewart’s class. Toni has been a great friend to her classmates and others. She is always kind and helpful. We are proud of leaders like Toni at WES.
Leprechaun traps have been set in Mrs. Sager’s class! Let’s see if they can catch who’s been playing tricks on them this week! 🍀🍀
Congratulations to our 2023-2024 Pre-K Students. Beginning Monday March 27, 2023, please come by WES and complete an enrollment packet. You must provide a copy of the child's birth certificate, social security card, immunization records and proof of residency. The deadline to have all enrollment packets completed is April 7, 2023.
