Homecoming week is off to a great start! Our little Tigers loved kicking things off with Pajama Day. We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow for our next theme: Which Witch is Which? (Twin Day/Opposite Day).

Kindergarten has been learning about Kings and Queens, and how royal families lived this week. They wrapped up their unit with a royal tea party to celebrate! 👑❤️
✨ Today was such a special day in Pre-K! ✨
We wrapped up our All About Me unit with a fun Show & Tell. Each child filled a bag with their favorite things and proudly shared them with the class. It was such a joy to learn more about our friends and celebrate all the unique little things that make us who we are! 💛

🧪 First, we predicted and tested: Do apples sink or float?
🍏 Then came the taste test – which do we like better, green or red apples?

After spending the week learning all about families, Mrs. Stokes’ Pre-K class had a special treat today! Ms. Erma Banks visited to read her book Fruit Cocktail and even brought fruit cocktail for everyone to enjoy. 🍓🍑🍍
More pics from 1st Grade-Human Body Unit
After wrapping up their Human Body Unit, our first graders scrubbed in and stepped into the “operating room” today! Dressed as young surgeons, they rotated through a variety of hands-on stations that combined learning with a little medical fun. Students mended “broken bone” CVC words, performed beginning sound heart surgery, examined letter X-rays, and carried out sight word operations. Math skills were also put to the test as they completed number bond surgeries, organized a ten-frame supply inventory, sequenced numbers in order, and pieced together body system puzzles. It was a day full of curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking—our little doctors-in-training were hard at work!
🇺🇸 Mrs. Cook’s kindergarten class learned about 2D shapes while creating American flags in remembrance of September 11th. ❤️🤍💙 As they talked about community helpers, the students were excited to thank Officer Marshall in person for her service! 👮♀️✨
