We are looking forward to seeing our students tomorrow as they return for the second semester! Please pay attention to these important dates during the next few months. Specific details will be available as the time draws near.

January Menus

School will be starting back in a few days. Make sure your child is ready to begin the new year.

Merry Christmas!

We will have early dismissal TOMORROW for the holiday break! Please make sure you have made arrangements to have your child picked up promptly at 11:00.

Every year at the COTR Barbecue Cook-Off, there’s a “People’s Choice” Award given to the team with the most donations in their bucket by the end of the night. It’s all in good fun, and the best part? The proceeds always go to a great cause. Westside Elementary’s special needs department was chosen as the recipient this year, and we were awarded over $1,700! Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, we’ll be able to purchase new sensory items for our students. We’re so thankful to live in a place like Demopolis, where kindness and support make a real difference. Pictured: Principal Smith, Dee Wright and Paul Willingham

Demopolis City Schools will be closed Monday, November 11 for the observance of Veterans Day. Faculty and students will return to school Tuesday, November 12.

Tomorrow, November 5, 2024, please vote YES for the Demopolis City Schools - 5 mill tax renewal. Note: This is NOT a new tax. Demopolis has been paying this one for 30 years and it has to be voted on to be renewed for another 30 years.
This tax provides approximately $1,000,000.00 per year for the DCS school system. Many of the athletics' expenses (maintenance, fields, some coaching stipends, etc), as well as facilities (all buildings) maintenance are provided through this tax since the State Department of Education does not allocate those type expenses. It also provides funds to help pay for teachers that are not funded by state allocations.
Please share this information with your family, friends, neighbors, churches, groups, etc. We NEED this 5 mill tax to be renewed.
