More 50's fun from First Grade!

🎉 1st Grade Celebrates the 50th Day of School! 🎉 Our first graders stepped way back in time to the fabulous 1950s! 🕺💃 Students dressed in classic fifties fashion and enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities — from making Coke floats 🥤 to air drag racing! 🚗💨 What a rockin’ way to celebrate 50 days of learning at WES! 🐾

Pre-K has been learning all about community helpers! Today, we got to meet some of the amazing helpers right here in our own community! The children had the best time walking through an ambulance, meeting Smokey the Bear, and even getting to pet a police dog! They were in awe of the big fire trucks and all the flashing lights on the police cars. A huge thank you to all of our community helpers who took time out of their busy day to visit with us, we truly appreciate everything you do!

Mrs. Cook’s Classroom Committee Helpers came today! They read spooky stories, sang a pumpkin song, made a fun craft, and shared a delicious spider-themed treat! 🎃

Please don’t be alarmed if you see community helpers and their vehicles visiting WES today. Our Pre-K students will be busy learning all about these important jobs and how they help our community every day!

Mrs. Sommers’ class took their Phonics lesson outside today! Students worked on changing CVC words (cut) to Vce words (cute)! This weather makes learning so much fun! 🍁

This month, we stand together to honor and support those who are currently fighting, celebrate the survivors, and remember those we have lost. 💗
