Mrs. Sommers’ first graders were busy little mathematicians today! 💰 Students worked together in groups to sort coins and practice counting money using dimes and pennies. Through hands-on learning, they strengthened their understanding of place value while building teamwork and problem-solving skills. It was amazing to watch them collaborate, double-check each other’s thinking, and proudly share how much money they counted. Learning is always more fun when we work together!

We are growing responsible and kind leaders!

Easter fun in Ms. Bradford’s Pre-K class 🐣🐰

Community helper Angie Weeks visited Ms. Bouler’s Kindergarten class, where she shared treats and led a fun Easter craft activity!

Demopolis City Schools will be closed Friday, April 3 in Observance of Good Friday. All schools and offices will be closed. School will resume normal operations Monday, April 6.

Please note there WILL be school on Friday, April 17. (That day was listed as a Professional Day on the original 2025-2026 calendar, but is NOT on the current 2025-2026 calendar. )

Ms. Bradford’s Pre-K will be learning about Spring and plants over the next couple of weeks. Today, they planted their own seeds. They are so excited to watch them grow and learn how to take care of them! 🌷🌻
