ACAP Math Boot Camp is in full swing! 🎉 Mrs. Stewart’s group had a great time learning about polygons today. Students created their own polygon mosaics using chalk and then practiced their math skills by counting and identifying how many of each type of polygon they used.

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish! Mrs. Garcia’s kindergarten class is celebrating Read Across America week with a math activity by graphing their goldfish! 💙♥️📚

On Tuesday, students enjoyed cozying up with a good book and their favorite stuffed animal! 📚🧸

📚 Teacher Professional Development Day

Demopolis City Schools will have a Teacher Professional Development Day on March 6, 2026.

Students will not report to school on this day.

Our faculty and staff will be engaged in meaningful professional learning focused on strengthening instruction, enhancing student support, and continuing our commitment to academic excellence across all campuses.

Students will return to school on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Monday is the end of our Kids Heart Challenge! This Weekend Blitz is a great way to finish strong!

Fairytale fun in Pre-K! ✨ Ms. Bradford’s class has been learning about different fairytales, practicing retelling stories, acting out key events, and exploring fairytale themed centers. One of their favorite activities has been creating a “castle in the clouds” like Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk using blocks and shaving cream! 🏰

These Tigers are leading with heart and roaring into greatness! 🐾

Don’t forget! 🎭✨ Tomorrow (2/24) is the last day to send in your $5 payment and signed permission slip for your child to attend the Seussical play at DHS.

Our 2nd grade students had an amazing time exploring and learning at the Montgomery Zoo! 🐾🦒

Mrs. Sommers’ first grade class is learning how to add two-digit numbers in a fun and hands-on way! One of the best ways to understand bigger numbers is by using math manipulatives. Manipulatives are special math tools we can touch and move, like base-ten blocks, connecting cubes, place value mats, or counters.
